Native American Heritage Month
Burney Elementary honors National Native American Heritage Month by integrating Native American culture our the school community. The school employs a full-time Native Education paraprofessional who supports Native students and families, and hosts Indigenous Talking Circles on Fridays where students and staff gather to share experiences and reflect. The school invites Native families and community members to share traditional knowledge, storytelling, crafts, language, music, and dance, fostering cultural appreciation and connection for students.
