Native Education:
We are dedicated to honoring and integrating Native American culture into our school. The school employs a full-time Native Education paraprofessional who provides dedicated support to Native students and families. On Fridays, the school hosts Talking Circles—an Indigenous practice rooted in equality and deep listening—where students and staff gather to share experiences, reflect on personal growth, and discuss topics of importance. These circles foster a sense of community, respect, and emotional well-being, aligning with the school's commitment to holistic education and cultural inclusivity.
The school actively invites Native families and community members to share their traditional knowledge and cultural practices, fostering a deeper connection between students and their heritage. We envision these collaborations include storytelling sessions, where elders and community members share oral histories and teachings that have been passed down through generations. Additionally, we are seeking community members to come onsite to engage in traditional crafts, language, music, and dance, allowing our students to experience and appreciate the richness of their Native culture.
